French Cherrywood Farmhouse Table
A mid 19th century cherrywood farm table from Bordeaux.
Superbly crafted from cherrywood and in beautiful lightly restored condition.
Its character, age and wear are all on point creating the most wonderful patina of time.
Three plank thick cherry tabletop with cleated ends, three frieze drawers and a 'H' stretcher for added strength.
One large end drawer and two smaller side drawers all with their original handles.
Restored, treated and re-finished. The cherrywood will darken within a short time to give a richness of colour as it reacts to sunlight, thus losing its reddish tint.
Some minor signs of historic woodworm and water marks commensurate with age.
Solid, heavy, chunky, rustic and ready for the next 100+ years.
Comfortably seats eight people.
