G.W.R. Stationmaster's Pine Desk
A late Victorian railway stationmaster's pedestal pine desk.
Originating from Great Western Railways, Penzance, Cornwall, circa 1900s.
Twin pedestals each with four graduating drawers and swing handles embossed with a flying fox emblem. Opposed to the drawers on the reverse are two fitted cupboards each with a central shelf.
Inset brown leatherette inscriber to the desktop.
Key locks stamped and frame branded 'G.W.R.' and 'B.R.(W)' giving provenance of ownership by Great Western Railways.
Easy to assemble and snuggly secures with no screws.
Good original condition with lots of historic character and age related wear.
