French Studded Leather Throne Armchair
A super original X frame French throne chair.
Originating from central France and thought to date to the mid 19th century.
An intriguing mix of styles showing similarities to both a Dagobert throne chair and also a Savonarola armchair.
Having a hip jointed 'X' frame and decoratively carved floral arm rests.
Beautifully aged original leather seat and back rest with all original floral brass stud work, none of which are missing.
Newly sprung yet still retaining its original horse hair stuffing.
The leather has scuffs and wear commensurate with age but is complete with no rips or tears.
This chair has immense character through age.
Solid, sturdy and structurally sound.
