An oak French factory engineering cabinet or workbench, circa early 20th century.
Largely crafted from oak with the exception of pine drawer carcasses and boarded back. Quality quarter sawn oak work top with beautifully detailed medullary rays.
Three very deep drawers above four shallow drawers, all with later added 1930s art deco cast metal handles.
This unit looks great from all sides making for perfect central positioning within a room. Ideal dimensions and functionality for use a freestanding kitchen island.
We found this unit smothered in lime green paint. Now stripped back and beautifully restored to its former glory. Oozing character and uniqueness.
